PROPERTY AND DESIGN JOBS FAQs

Demand is high across the board in property and design for health and safety advisors, surveyors, architects and design engineers. In the social housing sector, housing managers and officers are also in demand.

This depends on the area you work in and the location. Associates at architecture firms could typically expect a salary ranging from £45,000-£70,000, whilst partners or directors could earn over £100,000 per annum at a London firm.

A director of building services, meanwhile, could command a salary of around £75,000, or £100,000 in London. Health and safety directors would typically be paid upwards of £70,000, and salaries could reach £120,000 in some cases.

A partner or director at a surveying firm can expect a salary ranging from £60,000-£100,000.

Material scarcities and reaching net zero, as well as building resilience in an environment extremely susceptible to shocks and disruption, are just some of the challenges that organisations are having to face in the months and years ahead.

A balance needs to be met between cost-effectiveness and designing modern, energy-efficient buildings. Your skills and experience in the property and design sector will be crucial to organisations if they are to succeed.
