At our meeting, they explained they are keen to pursue a career in finance and develop their experience and understanding of trial balance, ledger processing, reconciling accounts, posting journals and, via study, they understand monthly reporting. At the insurance company, they manage customer accounts and other insurers regarding policy details, payments, refunds, journals and adjustments and, with his AAT studies, they are keen to move into a finance / accounts assistant role.

Confident with Excel and investing in the stock market, they have an inquisitive mind with a methodical approach to any task they undertake, demonstrated by the research they do when analysing financial statements to review trends and business investment/growth plans when looking at the stock market.

Key Skills:

• Professional qualifications - AAT 3
• Education qualification - BSc (Hons) 2:2 Degree in Mathematics & Statistics
• Transactional ledger processing experience across sales & purchase ledger
• Posting journals, raising refunds & mid-term insurance policy adjustments
• Reconciling customer accounts
• Understanding of bookkeeping, financial statements & monthly reporting
• Customer service experience for internal & external customers
• Systems: Sage Line 50, Excel, Word, In-house insurance software
