Overview 

One of the UK’s largest distribution and logistics organisations needed to expand and relocate its financial hub following increased business activity. The decision created a significant number of new finance roles within a compressed timeframe.

 

Challenge 

Following a strategic decision to relocate its transactional finance hub, the organisation faced a complex, high risk recruitment challenge:

  • Hub relocation:
    Recruiting 15 finance roles following the move of the transactional finance hub to a new UK location. 
  • Volume hiring:
    Managing multiple finance vacancies across a compressed timeframe to maintain business continuity.
  • Talent attraction:
    Securing high‑calibre finance professionals during a period of organisational change and location transition.

 

Solution

Hays was selected to design and deliver a bespoke recruitment campaign, drawing on our national footprint and specialist finance expertise. We developed a multi-channel attraction strategy, combining targeted advertising on LinkedIn and specialist job boards with prominent employer branding.

This included creating a dedicated digital microsite that leveraged the company’s strong branding, showcasing the organisation, its new finance hub and clear progression opportunities available. Throughout the campaign, we maintained close communication with key decision makers, providing detailed feedback and insight to support fast, confident hiring decisions.

 

Outcome 

The campaign delivered rapid, high quality results, ensuring business continuity during a critical period of change:

  • All 15 finance roles successfully filled within a three week delivery window
  • Over 1,000 applications generated, leading to more than 60 interviews
