People in reward roles make decisions about how much to appropriately reward employees for their efforts. Research and industry knowledge is required to ensure the best decisions are made, as well as numeracy, innovation, communication, negotiation and analytical skills. 

For reward and benefits jobs, an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or business may be required. Due to the analytical nature of reward and benefits roles, it would be beneficial to be comfortable with data statistics, spreadsheets and frameworks.
