Project Manager required for the Northern Ireland Water Framework. N.I. based role. Civil Engineering.

Your new company

Hays are delighted to be retained by a client who are recruiting a Project Manager to join a fantastic team providing nationwide civil construction projects throughout Ireland and the UK. Working in both Private and Public sectors, this company offers a unique blend of high-quality civil work.

Spanning over a 40-year history, their reputation is built on quality projects and technical expertise that has resulted in growing order book as well as long term contracts/clients.

Based in County Armagh, your new employer is always diversifying within the industry and now offering Civil Engineering and Marine Construction to a broad client network, all the while implementing a dedication to approaching each project with integrity.

Your new role

This is a permanent role based primarily in County Armagh head office where you will work directly with Northern Ireland Water as the client, covering Water frameworks works spanning multiple sites across Northern Ireland.

As Project Manager, you will be expected to oversee, organise, and manage multiple jobs at one time, inclusive of sites that cover pumping stations, trunk mains and water rehabilitation works.

Such is the nature of the role; it would be ideal if you have experience working in a similar setting already and be open to working across Northern Ireland as sites dictate. There may be some level of travel required for the role, however, but this will be predominantly based in Northern Ireland. What you'll need to succeed

As a Project Manager, experience on similar schemes will be expected with your new employer looking favourably on individuals who have worked on heavy civils projects, preferably with experience of water or wastewater.

A successful Project Manager will be able to effectively meet targets within time and budget whilst managing the performance of subcontractors and consultants. An understanding of the commercial elements of the site is essential to drive the project forward and deliver it to schedule within budget. You will ensure that targets and progress reports are communicated concisely between the client and the site team.

You will be required to travel throughout Northern Ireland. What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity that will offer a competitive company package including an attractive salary and favourable benefits.

With a stable network of long-term employees, your new employer sees value in rewarding from within and offering a stable working environment.
Salaries can range anywhere from £50,000 - £60,000 and are negotiable reflective of experience, plus car or allowance, as well as further opportunities to develop within the business.
