Payroll Administrator. Flexible, Hybrid Working. Excellent benefits

Your new company

I am currently working on behalf of a rapidly growing company based in Belfast to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join their existing finance team. This is a newly created role due to growth with an employer that provides a range of excellent benefits to their staff, with a strong company culture and low staff turnover.

Your new role

Working within the existing team, you will be responsible for a range of duties that include:

  • Assist in the end-to-end processing of payroll for UK & ROI based employees, including data entry e.g. expenses and distribution of payments. Liaise with any payroll partners as needed. Ensure bonus and commission payments are accurately processed and paid on time.
  • Collaborate closely with the payroll manager to ensure accuracy and compliance with UK payroll laws and regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance contributions, Tax year-end payroll processes and P60s and P11ds for the benefits in kind and pension schemes.
  • Process new starts, leavers, and P45s promptly and accurately.
  • Collect and verify payroll data from various sources, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Process other payments such as SSP/insurance claims, SMP/SPP, and PAYE deductions.
  • Process payroll adjustments, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes, ensuring timely and accurate updates to employee records. Monitor and process employee benefits, e.g. cycle to work and electric car schemes.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration with knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, and statutory deductions. Applicants should have proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.

What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation based in an accessible location in Belfast. Alongside a competitive salary, there are a range of additional benefits including 34 days annual leave, access to a 3-day holiday buy-back scheme, participation in a charity matching fund programme, Pension, Healthcare, Life Assurance, Income Protection, and options for both a cycle-to-work scheme and an electric car scheme. There is a flexible, hybrid working policy in place, with employees able to work up to 4 days from home should they choose to do so.
