This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, employee-centric manufacturing business in Banbury, as an Assistant Financial Controller. You will have the opportunity to add value to the business, support key decision-making and assist the development and delivery of the finance team.

You must have experience and/or knowledge of the manufacturing industry, for example, inventory management, stock control, COS, bill of material etc.

Your new role

As the successful candidate, your duties will include:

• Producing monthly, quarterly and annual accounts/reports
• Preparing budgets, forecasts and business plans
• Preparing variance analysis, i.e. actual vs forecast
• Partnering with key stakeholders, reviewing KPI’s and suggesting improvements
• Balance sheet reconciliation, cashflow forecasts, working capital management
• Taking the lead on the annual audit
• Support the management of the finance team (3 reports)
• Resolve / manage any queries from the business

What you'll need to succeed

To be the successful candidate, you will need to have / be:

• Experience in manufacturing (or similar)
• Qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Experience managing a team
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
