Part-time permanent Administration Assistant position, based in Derry City Centre, 2 days a week
Your new company
Hays are working on behalf of a leading local employer to recruit an Administration Assistant to join their team. This is a part-time position, working days are Thursday and Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Your new role
As Administration Assistant, you will work within a busy team and be responsible for:
• Answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries appropriately & professionally.
• Liaising with other department staff, agencies and external organisations - via verbal and written forms.
• Assisting with the production, presentation and distribution of written documentation using Microsoft Office, including letters, memos, statistics, reports and presentations.
• Maintenance of general filing systems.
• Recording and distribution of incoming mail / post and dealing with routine correspondence and outgoing mail and distribution to relevant staff.
• Take and type minutes of meetings etc.
• Ordering stationery and ensuring adequate supplies are maintained.
• Participate in covering reception on a rota basis at lunchtimes and during periods of annual leave, sickness or training sessions.
What you'll need to succeed
As Administration Assistant, essentially, you will have 6 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including Maths and English or equivalent or higher educational standard.
AND one year's experience providing administration support in an administrative/clerical role.
OR
QCF (Previously NVQ) Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent or higher educational standard AND one year's experience providing administration support in an administrative/clerical role
OR
Three years experience providing administration support in an administrative/clerical role
