Vice President Market Access, Market Access Advisor, Global, Biotech, Haematologic Oncology, Diagnostics

Your new role

To support their allogeneic stem cell transplantation program by providing insights into reimbursement, pricing, and market access for advanced haematologic cancer therapies and precision diagnostics.
Key responsibilities:
  1. U.S. Reimbursement Landscape (Europe too):
    Trends and hurdles in coverage, coding, and pricing for CAR-T, bispecifics, and diagnostics (MRD, NGS, liquid biopsy).
  2. Pricing & Market Access:
    Strategies for pricing models, outcomes-based contracts, and market entry for new oncology diagnostics and therapies.
  3. Payer Engagement:
    Evaluating cost-effectiveness, navigating Medicare Coverage with Evidence Development (CED), and understanding the impact of ICER reviews.
  4. Regulatory Decision-Making:
    CMS and private payer perspectives on coverage determinations and reimbursement for advanced diagnostics and therapies.

Role requirements:

  1. Educational Background:
    • Advanced degree in life sciences, health economics, public health, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    • Extensive experience in reimbursement, pricing, and market access within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
    • Proven track record in navigating U.S. reimbursement landscapes, including Medicare and private payers.
    • Experience with advanced therapies such as CAR-T, bispecifics, and precision diagnostics (MRD, NGS, liquid biopsy).
  3. Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate cost-effectiveness and develop pricing strategies.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for payer engagement and value demonstration.
    • The ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines and health economic models.
  4. Knowledge:
    • In-depth understanding of U.S. healthcare reimbursement systems, including CMS National & Local Coverage Determinations (NCDs & LCDs).
    • Familiarity with value-based pricing models and outcomes-based contracts.
    • Awareness of health technology assessments (HTAs) and international reference pricing (IRP).
  5. Personal Attributes:
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies.
    • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Adaptability to stay current with evolving market trends and regulatory changes.
