Location: Coventry 2 Days per week on Site
Contract: Interim 6 Months

Hays are seeking a qualified and experienced Surveying Manager (MRICS) to lead a team of surveyors working on rent renewals for a local council. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong background in landlord and tenant matters, particularly within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of surveyors handling rent renewals and property transactions.
  • Produce detailed reports on property transactions and valuations.
  • Review and challenge team outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide expert guidance on landlord and tenant issues, particularly within local authority housing.
  • Apply knowledge of Section 106 agreements in housing contexts.
  • Ensure best practices from private practice property services are integrated into council operations.
✅ Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified (essential).
  • Proven management experience in a surveying environment.
  • Strong understanding of landlord and tenant law, especially in the public sector.
  • Experience with Section 106 housing agreements.
  • Background in both local authority and private practice property services.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
