Your new company

Our commercial client is looking to recruit an Accountant to join their established finance team on a 2-year FTC, reporting to the Financial Controller.

Your new role

You will be responsible for driving financial control and management, including month-end reporting and cash flow management, along with reviewing and introducing process changes to enhance efficiency. You will be involved in month-end financial and management reporting, encompassing P&L and balance sheet preparation. You will reconcile all balance sheet accounts, including control accounts to ledgers, and revenue and cost of sales reporting. Additionally, you will revalue open debtors, creditors, and bank accounts, process purchase invoices and journals, and reconcile monthly uplift accounts, accruals, and prepayments. The role also involves calculating and posting monthly depreciation and amortisation charges, processing quarterly VAT returns and handling payroll transactions and payments.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an ACCA, CIMA or ACA part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant with management accounts experience along with strong Excel. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with key stakeholders.

What you'll get in return

This is a hybrid role: 3 days in the office, 2 remote, though initially it will be office-based whilst training. Salary range £37000 - £40000 plus a bonus, 25-day holiday & bank holidays, study support.
