We are now seeking a Technical Director to lead our consultancy and design services at a strategic level. This is a pivotal role—our most senior consultancy leadership position—reporting directly to the Business Director for Term Service Contracts. You will shape the future of our technical services, drive innovation, and make a vital contribution to our commercial growth strategy.

You will lead a highly skilled and motivated team of approximately 130 professionals across civil engineering, highways and structures design as well as a geotechnical and laboratory service. Your leadership will be instrumental in enhancing our technical capabilities, evolving our service delivery models, and identifying new opportunities for growth—particularly in clean energy, sustainable transport, and infrastructure innovation. Building resilient relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, that generate a sustainable pipeline of opportunities for your teams.

An experienced leader in civil engineering, a highways consultancy or similar, with a proven track record of managing large teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects. Bringing a collaborative leadership approach to strategic development that motivates and inspires those around you to innovate and drive delivery. You are naturally forward-thinking, focussed on optimising impact through resource planning, and hold a recognised technical qualification in a relevant discipline.
