Inspiring Teacher Wanted – Complex Needs Setting (Stourbridge) Full-Time | MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance
Are you a passionate and resilient educator ready to make a real difference in the lives of children with complex needs? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join a warm, inclusive, and forward-thinking special school in Stourbridge that caters to pupils with a wide range of learning difficulties.
About the School and Learners: Our pupils have a variety of complex needs, including:
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
  • Sensory processing difficulties
  • Communication challenges
  • Associated medical and physical needs
Curriculum Approach: You will be delivering a highly personalised and flexible curriculum that is designed to meet the holistic needs of each learner. This includes:
  • Pre-formal and semiformal pathways, focusing on communication, independence, sensory integration, and life skills.
  • A strong emphasis on multisensory learning, therapeutic approaches, and communication strategies such as Makaton, PECS, and AAC.
  • Cross-curricular themes that promote engagement, emotional regulation, and real-world learning experiences.
Your Role Will Involve:
  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles.
  • Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, support staff, and families.
  • Creating a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils’ personal development, emotional wellbeing, and communication.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with children with complex needs.
  • A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development.
