Warrington. KS2 qualified teaching assistant with SEN. Long-term contract starting June.

Your new company

Hays Recruitment are happy to be supporting a two-form entry primary school in Warrington as they are looking to appoint an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to support across KS2 on a full-time temporary basis.

Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be supporting the KS2 (Key Stage 2 classes) and working alongside the class teachers to promote an inclusive, engaging and stimulating learning environment. You will offer intervention and booster sessions in core subjects, including intense sessions to lower/mixed ability groups within a separate class, as well as SATs preparation with the year 6 class. There are a number of pupils in the upper KS2 classes with big personalities that can at times be disruptive and struggle with their engagement. To support this, you will actively encourage them to partake in learning material, play small games to retain focus, and implement positive behaviour strategies.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered in your application you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, be at minimum Level 3 qualified, and have recent referenceable classroom experience. Other desirables include:

  • Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
  • Experience delivering intervention and booster sessions

What you'll get in return

If you are successful in your application, you will receive the full support, dedication and guidance of a senior DfE accredited recruitment consultant, as well as a wide range of benefits which include:

  • Free training
  • Upfront cost of DBS covered
  • Competitive rate of pay
  • Full holiday entitlement
  • Company pension scheme
  • Refer a Friend scheme
  • Access to exclusive vacancies
