Supply Teacher job in Chepstow. Teaching KS3 and KS4 classes. Regular supply work at an inspection-rated ‘Good’ school.

Your New School

This well-established secondary school is located in the Chepstow area and serves a diverse student body of approximately 1,200 pupils. Supported by a dedicated team of over 180 staff, including teaching and support staff, the school fosters a dynamic learning environment. Its thriving sixth form attracts students from various surrounding areas, contributing to a vibrant and engaged academic community. Recognised as a ‘Good’ school in its most recent inspection, it maintains high educational standards and a positive atmosphere. The school is seeking a qualified teacher to provide regular cover for permanent staff, ensuring continuity in learning for its students.

Your new role

You will be responsible for teaching pre-set KS3 and KS4 lessons on subjects across the curriculum. You will be responsible for ensuring pupils remain on task and continue with their learning in the absence of their regular teacher. You will not be expected to do the planning, preparation, marking and assessment associated with a permanent teaching job.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will have previous experience of working in a teaching position within a secondary school and possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
  • You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.

What you'll get in return

  • This is an opportunity to work on a regular supply teaching assignment with a single school rated as a ‘Good’ school in its last inspection.
  • You will have the opportunity to build relationships with pupils and staff.
  • The school is well situated for candidates commuting from Newport, Monmouthshire, the Forest of Dean and the M4 corridor. You will be offered a daily pay rate of between £166.33 per day.
