Supply Chain Planner, Temporary, Office Based, Leeds, Hybrid.

Here at Hays, we are supporting an automotive company based in Leeds who have been established for over 100 years and are industry leaders. We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner on a temporary assignment to support the new site based in South Leeds. This role is paying up to £17.95 per hour, and initially a 3-month assignment which possible chance of an extension.

This is a hybrid assignment that is 3 days a week on site initially, and then 2 days a week further into the assignment. We are looking for someone to start ASAP. The role is Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours a day between 8am – 6pm.

Responsibilities for this role:

You will be planning and maintaining daily supply chain operations in one or more functional areas, such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand and management or order fulfilment. Ensuring internal and external customers’ expectations and requirements are met.

This role involves using common processes, tools, and information systems. Analysing and interpreting Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans. You will be executing the daily operational planning processes within a specified functional area.

Identifying potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigate associated risks. Working closely with stakeholders – both internal and external to develop short term tactical improvements.

Use of the planning system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain and participate in functional process improvement teams. You will be trained in the use of MRP (Material Requirement Planning Systems), no prior experience is needed.

Skills we are looking for:

  • Experience with Oracle would be advantageous, as well as analytical experience.
  • Experience in Supply Chain is not mandatory but would be very advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and numerically capable.
  • Good communication skills

Recent graduates would be accepted for this role.
