Streetworks Supervisor - Central London

Full job description

We are looking for specialist streetworks and fibre supervisors to join one of our clients on a long-term contract working on complex projects in central London. Our client is a streetworks delivery contractor who takes multisite framework projects from early conception to delivery in full life cycle. Your job will be to act as the essential link between company management, site operations and support functions. Day-to-day supervisory responsibility for the staff and technical teams working across the full range of our site operations, planning and setting work schedules, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to client satisfaction. To lead the day-to-day application and development of processes, techniques, resourcing, documentation and operational standards across the company’s technical operations. To deal with any people and performance issues as they arise, reporting to management as necessary. To assist with daily updates of progression across the build of your assigned areas, whilst showing adaptability to engage in various tasks across the build.

Your Key Tasks on a Day-to-Day:

Supervise onsite cabling/fibre/traffic instillation
Work closely with subcontractors to deliver projects.
Monitor the quality of performance.
Supervise all cabling, splicing and connections across multiple builds.
Daily reporting on productivity & quality.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
Problem-solving day-to-day issues.
Comply with Health & Safety and environmental policies.
Ensure that all staff and subcontractors under supervision are competent, fully trained, are aware of all requirements and have been fully approved, appraised and / or inducted before starting on site
Monitor work to ensure streetwork permits and client timescales are met
Carrying out site meetings to discuss works, permit conditions and agree Traffic Management requirements with the LA

To be successful in your application, you will need to have, or be working towards, the following qualifications:

Three years minimum experience in PIA, across cabling, fibre and installations.
Experience of supervising multiple builds and teams across a region.
NRSWA Supervisor Accreditations.
PIA Accreditations.
Fibre Splicing & Testing knowledge.
Good awareness of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance
Organised and Professional
Full Clean Driving Licence
Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills.
