Position: Store Operative
Location: Corsham, SN13 9ET
Role: Full-Time - Monday to Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm

Job Overview: We are currently recruiting for a motivated Stores Operative to join the team at MOD Corsham, an efficient Stores and Clothing account, to support the Logistics department!

Main Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service, working in a customer-facing environment.
- Ensure that assistance and resources are made available to meet all contractual requirements, this is via a walk in, appointment or Helpdesk booking service
- Ensuring that stores are secure at all times. Maintain stores area in a clean & tidy condition.
- Use of the forklift to support the operation.
- Assisting with the loading & unloading of vehicles as required. Escorting of visitors and contractors as required.
- Responsible for the preparation and overseeing all Stock Checks IAW regulations.
- Support all Inspections, both Internal and External.
- Comply with site Health & Safety regulations including lifting, working at height & of various types of equipment.
- Maintaining accounts in manual or electronic format (including MJDI (Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory)) IAW current regulations
- Arranging the disposal of surplus and unserviceable stores by the appropriate supply chain
- To act as a driver and or escort, to deliver and collect stores & freight.Support other sections/ staff in the department.
- Attend training as required to assist the department and site.

What we are looking for:
Desirable: Experience working on an MOD site and Supply Systems (MJDI).Full clean driving licence (able to Drive Cat B vehicle) up to a Luton van.
Experience working with Customers / Customer facing role.
Experience using MS office software packages and confident with databases and spreadsheets.
A good understanding of Health and Safety.
Self-motivated and organised.Excellent communicational skills and able to communicate effectively.
Must be willing to be forklift trained and attend both Military and civilian courses to support their role: Some of these will be away from site for 2-3 weeks.Legacy Dashboard
