Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking an experienced Accountant for our client's requirement of Staff Officer Accountant, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in The Department for Economy in the Northern Ireland Civil Service. Your new role
  • Strategic finance and budget advice
  • Salary monthly forecasting, variance analysis
  • Monitoring and management of in-year salary budgets
  • Assisting with salary budget input into spending review/ future year allocations
  • Reviewing and providing finance approval of new staff/vacancies to ensure affordable
  • Reviewing and analysing the staffing data for the department on a monthly basis
  • Assisting with any other ad hoc staffing budget-related exercises/matters as required


What you'll need to succeed
  • Member of one of the recognised Accountancy bodies
  • Power BI experience desirable
