Job Opportunity - Senior Engineering Manager (Mechanical)

Role Overview:
The Senior Engineering Manager leads a team responsible for delivering engineering and estates services across public sector facilities (like hospitals, schools, and emergency services). The role ensures all engineering operations are safe, compliant with regulations (e.g., HTMs/HBNs), and aligned with the PFI contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage engineering maintenance and ensure compliance with statutory and safety standards.
  • Act as Lead Authorised Person for specific disciplines.
  • Provide expert technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), emergency response, and lifecycle planning.
  • Lead and develop engineering teams, ensuring high performance and compliance.
  • Support safeguarding responsibilities and environmental controls.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong technical leadership experience in facilities management, ideally in healthcare.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, IWFM).
  • AP qualifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and compliance management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement.
