Exciting Service Engineer position to work across the UK

Your new company

You will be working for an established equipment manufacturer who supplies the engineering industry. The business's equipment is used by many leading engineering businesses to clean their components.

Your new role

As a Service Engineer you will undertake customer service engineering activities. Duties will include machine installations, commissioning, servicing, refurbishment and customer training.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Preparation for customer visits
  • Engineers should also collate all necessary documentation such as electrical and pneumatic schematics, manuals, software, leads and tools etc necessary for the job
  • Working with the Design department and other departments on projects
  • Undertaking service duties individually and as a team.
  • Responsible for complying with all company and customer health and safety policies
  • Completing service reports summarising what work has been done and which parts have been used after each assignment
  • Undertaking mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance tasks
  • Testing and cleaning machinery
  • Explaining work completed to customers and giving guidance
  • Training of customer maintenance and operating staff

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in electrical, mechanical and pneumatic maintenance

  • Experience in a similar Field Service or Maintenance role

  • Good communicator and team player

  • Willingness to travel and spend nights away from home

  • Driving licence

What you need to do now

This role is UK focused, where you will travel as part of your role across the UK and occasionally overseas, expenses will be paid as part of the role as necessary. You will also need to be prepared to stay overnight in hotels on occasion and potentially work long days and weekends to carry out service duties when required. The successful Engineer will be provided with a van, laptop and mobile phone to undertake the role.
