Senior Quantity Surveyor required for Premium Project in Beautiful Edinburgh - Up to 70K

Your new company

Our client is a well established premium builder developer who has a large amount of work on the ground and in the pipeline in Edinburgh. Their core market is high-end residential developments, both new builds and refurbishments, and their highly experienced and well-connected Commercial Director is seeking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team.

Your new role

As Senior QS you will be reporting to the commercial director and be fully commercially responsible for the delivery of high-end residential projects. You will be getting involved in all phases of projects from working on cost plans and budgets to prospective sites and developments to commencing the commercial process for projects hitting and delivering them. A large part of your initial role will be to work on the procurement phase of a large high-profile residential project in a central Edinburgh location. This project is a 3-year project with a £40million build cost, and it is really just starting to move, so your initial workload will be front end subcontract procurement and contract award. As things develop, you will be tasked with managing these projects to completion, working in close collaboration with an exceptional site team.

What you'll need to succeed

Our client is looking for an experienced SQS who has had exposure to all elements of quantity surveying within a developer or main contractor environment. Perhaps you are seeking something a bit different and are over the grind of working for large developers or contractors. Our client can offer a work environment which focusses on support and collaboration with direct access to senior management and directors. They also offer a flexible work environment and are open to different work models depending on candidate requirements. As their projects are both new build and refurbishment / fitout, candidates with experience in both of these sectors would be very attractive to this company.

What you'll get in return

Our client is well resourced and for the right candidate your financial package will not be an issue. Their average tenure is over 10 years and this is reflective of a tight-knit and positive work culture and this role should attract an experienced commercial professional seeking to take their career in a more bespoke and attractive direction.
