Hays are supporting a large housing association who are looking to recruit for a Senior Data Reporting Analyst who will have 1 direct report into them.

Your new role
The Senior Reporting Data Analyst role is a key position within a growing finance function, focused on delivering high-quality, data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. This role combines advanced reporting and dashboard development with stakeholder collaboration, process improvement, and team leadership. It’s ideal for a data-savvy professional with strong analytical skills, experience in tools like Power BI and Excel, and a passion for transforming complex data into actionable business intelligence.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Advanced Reporting Skills: Ability to design, build, and maintain complex financial and operational reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel.
  • Strong Analytical Mindset: Capable of translating large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Leadership Potential: Experience or readiness to lead a small team, fostering a culture of learning, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Confident in collaborating with finance teams, business leaders, and data teams to understand needs and deliver tailored reporting solutions.
  • Process Improvement Focus: Proactive in identifying opportunities to streamline reporting processes and automate manual tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in tools such as Power BI, Excel (including pivot tables and macros), SQL, and ERP systems like D365 F&O or COINS.
  • Data Integrity Awareness: Committed to ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems and reports.
  • Communication Skills: Able to present complex data clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Time Management: Comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and Resilience: Positive, self-motivated, and able to thrive through change and continuous improvement initiatives.
