Senior Content and Design Studio Manager | Barbican Centre | Hybrid | 3 Months

Your new company

You will be working for a high-profile local public - sector organisation who specialise in the arts. They are actively working to promote the arts within the City of London, whilst attracting a new audience to make them aware of the services that they offer. The organisation has a real passion for fostering creativity and innovation.

Your new role

This is a 3-month role initially with a view to extend or potentially make permanent. The rate for this role is £29.10 (basic) to £33.90 (premium). You will have a healthy hybrid working scheme, with 3 days in the office expected as the minimum and 2 days WFH.

  • Manage the day to day running of the Design StudioAssess, interrogate and clarify briefs across departments
  • Manage the workflow of the Social Media & Content team
  • Creating and implementing deadlines, expectations and workflows, to ensure a smooth design and content creation process with on-time delivery.
  • Curate image libraries and video, art-work and branding assets. Line manage the Design Managers
  • Manage production of the Barbican guide
  • Understand the training needs of the team and ensure they're familiar with all systems and processes
  • Ensure workflow is fairly and sustainably covered by the team, reviewing where necessary. Participate in overarching strategic or brand projects as requested

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of managing Content or Design Professionals

  • An eye for creativity, and being able to tell what will or what will not work.

  • Proficient in design and digital development processes

  • Skilled with Adobe applications, including Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Flexible in managing multiple projects, requiring multiple skills, deadlines and budgets.

  • Connected with the design and content creation industry to source freelancers/contractors and new suppliers.

  • Prior experience managing either a design or content studio
