SEND Communications Lead - Birmingham - ASAP start
Your new company
You will be joining Birmingham City Council on a temporary ongoing basis as a Communications Lead for their SEND/Delivering Better Value department. You will be required to formalise the SEND Communications and Engagement activity into a cohesive, co-produced strategy and accompanying plan and measures of success.
Your new role
In this job, you will develop a co-produced SEND/Delivering Better Value Communications & Engagement Strategy with accompanying publication, delivery plan and success criterion. You will also establish and develop relationships with relevant stakeholders and partners in SEND, Education, NHS, Social Care, Parent/Carers and Children & Young People (C&YP). In order to do this, you will be expected to engage with and incorporate the views of these partners and stakeholders into the strategy and develop messages and approaches that reflect the different audiences.
In addition, you will ensure that the goals and aspirations of the strategy reflect and re-enforce the outcomes and measures of success in the Birmingham & SEND AP Improvement Plan and accompanying strategies. You will ensure that the SEND/DBV Communications Strategy complies with all relevant corporate guidelines and other requirements. You will also map out and deliver against the internal sign-off process and accompanying requirements of documentation and deadlines.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have experience within a local authority or council, working within SEND or a similar background. You will also be required to have senior communications experience, and be available full-time to start as soon as possible.
