Winsford, Cheshire. Experienced SEN TA required for full-time permanent contract. Starting 31/03/2025

Your new company

Hays Recruitment are proud to be supporting a Winsford-based SEND School that supports learners from EYFS - KS4 as they are looking to recruit an experienced and reliable teaching assistant to support the Year 2 class. This is a full-time permanent position 8:45am - 3:45pm.

Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be based in the Year 2 class, supporting the class teacher to offer a stimulating and engaging learning environment. You will be supporting a number of pupils across the class on a 1:1 basis, all of whom have varying levels of needs and mixed diagnosis. This class can be disruptive, so a strong background in behaviour management and the ability to implement positive behaviour strategies to best suit your pupils' needs and emotional states is paramount. You will implement traffic light systems, reward charts and utilise the sensory room to promote positive behaviours and learning. Other duties will include intervention and booster sessions and phonics. As well as supporting the Year 2 class, you may also be asked to support the school of a needs basis.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days referenceable experience within a classroom environment within the last 2 years, as well as:

  • Experience delivering positive behaviour strategies
  • Experience supporting SEN
  • An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is advantageous but not essential

What you'll get in return

If you are successful in your application, you will receive the full support, dedication and guidance of a senior DfE accredited recruitment consultant, as well as a wide range of benefits, which include:

  • Free training
  • Competitive annual salary
  • Full holiday entitlement
  • Company pension scheme
  • On-site parking
  • Permanent contract
  • Access to exclusive vacancies
  • Refer a Friend scheme
