Your new school
As a Science Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing and maintaining equipment for practical lessons, ensuring students have hands-on experiences that enhance their understanding of scientific concepts. You will work closely with teachers to support learning, uphold health and safety standards, and help maintain an engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up materials and equipment for science experiments.
- Maintain stock levels of chemicals and laboratory supplies.
- Ensure all equipment is stored safely and remains in good working order.
- Assist teachers in practical demonstrations and experiments.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including risk assessments.
- Support students with their practical work, ensuring a safe and effective learning experience.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for an enthusiastic individuals with:
- A keen interest in science and education.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential).
