School Design and Technology Technician

Their Design and Technology Department is a vibrant hub of activity, where students explore everything from woodworking and engineering to digital design and product development. They are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Technician to join their team and help bring these projects to life.
About the role
As a Design and Technology Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the department by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and enabling students to thrive in a safe, well-equipped environment. Your duties will include:
  • Preparing, maintaining, and organising equipment, tools, and materials for lessons.
  • Assisting teaching staff during practical lessons and demonstrations.
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, including risk assessments.
  • Supervising and supporting students with projects and the use of equipment.
  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs of tools and machinery.
  • Managing stock and ordering supplies as needed.
About you
