Junior Quantity Surveyor (Lisburn or Antrim based)

Your new company

This company has been established for over 55 years, and currently operates with a turnover of over £150m. Involved in multi-million pound contracts, they are one of the largest contractors operating in NI, and are involved in the commercial, retail, and civils sectors. Due to consistently increasing workloads, they are now recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a range of civils projects in NI.

Your new role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities and maintaining the required standard of quality on their designated project. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the project delivery team, responsible for the commercial management of civil engineering projects in NI worth up to £30m. This is an NI-based role.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, and will have at least 2 years of experience with a civils contractor. Experience with highway maintenance and road projects will be advantageous, but not necessary. You will be IT literate, and will be competent in applicable software packages, including the MS Office suite.

What you'll get in return

This is an opportunity to work with an established, and successful, main contractor on large civils projects in Northern Ireland. This position has a salary package that will be very competitive based on the experience of the individual, and which will also include a car allowance, pension scheme, as well as other company benefits.
