A leading Civil Engineering contractor based in Suffolk, but operating throughout the UK. They deliver high-quality civil engineering projects in various sectors including highways, bridges, infrastructure, flood defence, energy, and rail.

Your new role

An exciting opportunity to join the team as a Quantity Surveyor. Operating across the East of England. You will help to deliver heavy Civils projects, including major Highways.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies, as well as company procedures.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental objectives.
Prepare plans, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
Conduct on-site measurements and measure drawings as required.
Identify potential risks and evaluate control options.
Perform ongoing cost analysis of maintenance and repair work, providing evidence for dispute resolution.
Conduct feasibility studies based on client requests.
Prepare estimates and analyse subcontractor quotations.
Prepare and agree on variation accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts.
Prepare and issue certification for contract payments to sub-contractors.

What you'll need to succeed

Have experience working on heavy civil projects and with the NEC form of contract.
Demonstrate innovative problem-solving abilities and effective negotiation skills across various levels of the construction environment.
Possess impressive numeracy and IT skills to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role.
Be willing to travel, as this is a regional role, and hold a full UK driving license.
Be eligible to work in the UK
