Quality Systems Manager, Portadown, Leading Company

Your new company

Join a well-established and innovative food manufacturing business with a strong presence in the UK and Ireland. This site plays a key role in delivering high-quality, value-added dairy products to major retail and food service customers. With a collaborative culture and a focus on continuous improvement, the company offers a dynamic environment where quality, compliance, and innovation are at the heart of everything they do. You’ll be part of a supportive technical team that values hands-on engagement, cross-functional teamwork, and professional development.

Your new role

As Quality Systems Manager, you will take ownership of the site’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring all processes, documentation, and compliance activities meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. You’ll play a key role in supporting food safety systems, managing specifications, and overseeing supplier approval processes.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, NPD, and technical, to ensure a consistent and proactive approach to quality. You’ll also be responsible for regulatory sign-off on product artwork and supporting continuous improvement initiatives through KPI monitoring, complaint analysis, and non-conformance tracking.

You’ll manage and develop an administrative team member, contribute to audit readiness, and support the wider technical function in driving operational excellence. This role offers a blend of strategic oversight and on-the-ground engagement, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring solid experience in quality systems within a food manufacturing environment, with a good understanding of HACCP, regulatory compliance, and specification management. A hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work across teams are essential. You should be confident in managing documentation, supporting continuous improvement, and ideally have experience with systems like SAP. A proactive mindset and the ability to lead and support others will set you apart.

What you'll get in return

You’ll join a supportive and forward-thinking team in a well-established food business, with opportunities to grow into regulatory or wider technical roles. The position offers a competitive salary of around £36,000, a structured Monday to Friday schedule with early Friday finishes, some flexibility for hybrid work, and annual performance reviews linked to development goals. You’ll also gain exposure to high-profile brands and cross-functional projects, with real potential to shape your career within the wider group.
