Tier 1 contractor is looking for x3 Quality Engineers in Suffolk area for their long-lasting Civil Project.

Your new role

The purpose of the role is: to support the delivery of the project in accordance with customer and stakeholder requirements and commitments, including verification activities to demonstrate compliance against project requirements, external accreditations and good industry practice. To support the co-ordination, submission, compliance and management of all assurance activities and the resolution of assurance related issues. To ensure implementation of procedures including submissions from the supply chain and establishing test and inspection plans for delivery of the works.

• Attend pre-start meetings for significant projects (either in terms of value, complexity or QA/QC requirements)
• Support project teams in developing the quality plans / inspection & test plans are being followed and that customer/project requirements are being met, and review those from the supply chain
• Assist delivery teams in achieving the required deliverables, and managing issues as required, also providing quality advice to our supply chain where appropriate
• Use existing systems to allow sample and benchmark plans to be established and agreed with customers and the supply chain. Use digital systems to monitor the performance of quality planning /production of quality deliverables / managing issues against targets.
• Support project team in collating and delivering handover records as per customers’ requirements, on time

What you'll need to succeed

• Prior quality experience and/or relevant operational / technical experience to meet industry sector demands
• Knowledge of ISO9000 Terminology
• An understanding and commitment to Quality Management
• Awareness of business improvement initiatives
• Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts
• Work on plans and programmes
• Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion
• Good at building relationships and can influence you effectively
• Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective manner
• Ability to challenge existing methods and ways of thinking
• Able to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Fully proficient in modern office computer systems and technology, e.g. Office 365
Qualifications & Experience
• Level 4+ Qualification in Quality, Construction or Manufacturing (relevant industry) or PCQI
• Either a CQI Practitioner or working towards Practitioner status
