Your new company

We are currently looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join a Local Authority on their Child Protection team. You will be working on a temporary contract that will run to Summer 2024 and will have the opportunity to work in a well-established team that strives to provide the best possible care for every child that they are caring for.

Your new role

You will be working using a hybrid working module which includes 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. You are expected to work 37 hours per week, including 9am-5pm flexible hours.

To ensure that our child protection social workers are well-supported, we strive to ensure supervising social workers have manageable case loads and can access additional placement support from dedicated placement support workers. You will be providing assessments and care management services to young people and children whilst priding yourself on providing the best possible outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

A degree in Social Work is essential for this role, as well as previous experience in Children’s Services. You must also be registered with Social Care Wales. It is important that you are friendly and approachable, making it easy to communicate with both those on your case load and your team. Due to the need to be mobile within the community, driving is essential for this role.
