Your new company

You will be working for a student accommodation provider in Lincoln who own and manage properties and apartments and maintain them to the highest standards.

Your new role

  • Property Management: Managing a defined property portfolio of student housing.
  • Drawing up tenancies and handling guarantor forms.
  • Managing repairs and maintenance, including allocating work to tradespeople.
  • Taking payments, chasing rent arrears, and managing deposits.
  • Handling minor complaints and issue.
  • Registering students and arranging property viewings.
  • Negotiating lets between landlords and tenants.
  • Providing accurate and engaging information about properties.
  • Building and maintaining strong landlord relationships.
  • Dealing with tenant queries and complaints.
  • Ensuring both landlords and tenants understand their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Ensuring properties are compliant with safety regulations (e.g., Gas Safety Certificates, Electrical Safety documents).
  • Utilising IT systems and databases.
  • Assisting with the overall maintenance of the property, including arranging access for maintenance work.
  • Reporting any building issues to appropriate colleagues.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Prior experience: Experience in student lettings and property management is essential.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, customer service experience.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • IT Skills: Competent in using IT systems and databases.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of property compliance and safety regulations, relevant housing legislation, and local knowledge of student accommodation.
  • Other: Full UK driving licence and access to a car, team player, ability to use initiative, and a positive and enthusiastic attitude
