Senior Procurement Officer
An opportunity to join the procurement function of this non-for-profit organisation based in Essex. There is a requirement to be in the office 1 day per week with flexibility on hours of work available. With exceptional benefits and an excellent pension, the role is available on a permanent basis.
This role will take ownership of key areas of spend with the support of senior colleagues and offers huge opportunities for growth and career development. Key areas of focus will include: managing procurement from cradle to grave across a variety of Indirect spend including FM, construction, HR and supporting services; supporting Category Management strategy implementation; managing the Supplier Approval Process; communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders; support the development of procurement reporting and sustainability reporting; and the co-ordination of all incoming requests for procurement services.
To succeed in this role you will have demonstrable procurement experience; the ability to build, influence and sustain service-led relationships with internal stakeholders; a willingness to develop a procurement career and take ownership for your development; excellent communication skills and strong numeracy and literacy skills. Working knowledge of Public Sector Procurement is essential with all PA23 training completed as a strong preference.
