Your new company

A public sector organisation is looking for a temporary Procurement Administrator to join their team based in the Brighton area for 3 months.

Your new role

You will be ensuring budget holders receive relevant, clear and up-to-date procurement information and maintain the organisation and procurement databases. Providing advice to assist the budget holders in obtaining quotations from suppliers and to assist with the resolution of minor disputes as well as contributing to the training of staff in relation to procurement procedures and practices, including the development of training materials and providing demonstrations in selected procurement areas. You will be carrying out administrative duties, including setting up orders for procurement and insurance services, and undertaking an analysis of procurement expenditure incurred with specific suppliers to assist with value for money studies required by senior managers and the audit committee.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; you will have a strong administration background. You will have excellent computer literacy and be able to plan and prioritise work effectively to achieve results. You will work well within a team and independently and be able to identify areas for improvements to current services.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be on the hourly rate of £13.68 per hour plus holiday pay (£15.33 per hour premium). You will work Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday 9am-4:30pm. This is a hybrid working role with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.
