PA to Headteacher Job in Wellingborough

Hays are currently recruiting for a PA to the Headteacher on behalf of a specialist primary school in Wellingborough. We are looking for a proactive and organised administration professional who is able to confidently support both the Headteacher and Governors. Your new school

You'll be working in a specialist primary school in for children and young people aged 4-11, with varying additional needs. This is a growing school, currently with over 140 students. The school follows the national curriculum and is split over four sites within Wellingborough and Rushden. The school is committed to the benefits on creative therapies and the children are able to access Art therapy, Music Therapy, Drama Therapy, Massage Therapy and Theraplay. The school has facilities such as splash room, music room, food technology room and a library.

Your new role

In your new job as a PA to the Headteacher, you'll play an essential role in the school community by providing administrative support to the Headteacher and school Governors.

You'll provide proactive and dynamic support to the Senior Leadership Team including management of the Headteacher's schedule, handling correspondence on behalf of the Headteacher and meeting co-ordination. You'll use data management tools to manage student and staff data whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion. You'll also act as clerk to the Governors providing administrative support, governance advice and record keeping.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in your new job as PA to the Headteacher, you'll need previous PA or Executive Assistant experience, ideally in an educational setting. You'll possess strong organisational, communication and time management skills with an exceptional attention to detail. You'll need to have a high level of ICT proficiency alongside experience using school MIS systems such as SIMS. Most importantly, you'll be passionate about working in a specialist educational setting with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of SEN children.

** The successful candidate will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check or a willingness to obtain one. **
