My client are a leading provider within the healthcare industry and are committed to delivering high-quality services to our service users and patients.

They are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their team at their office based near Wandsworth. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our dedicated staff.

Role Details:

  • Position: Payroll Assistant
  • Location: South West London
  • Salary: Paying up to £28K+
  • Working Hours: 08:30 am to 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the human resources department to maintain employee data.
  • Issue tax forms and related documentation, assisting employees in completing them.
  • Update employee bank records as needed to ensure accurate payment processing.
  • Assist in processing the weekly and monthly payroll, including statutory year-end returns (P60s, P45).
  • Generate payroll reports in line with HR and business requirements.
  • Enter variable overtime and expense payments accurately.
  • Work closely with line managers to collect missing information.
  • Collate monthly timesheets and process them according to company guidelines.
  • Perform any other payroll-related duties as required by the business.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 6 Months of payroll experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in using Excel spreadsheets.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • SAGE Payroll is a must
