Part-Time HR Business Partner for an initial short-term contract until the end of May 2025
We have a Part-Time HR Business Partner requirement to join a busy HR team in Poole, Dorset for an initial contract to start ASAP until the end of May.
As an HR Business Partner, you would work in specific business areas, building relationships and engaging with central subject-matter expert teams, ensuring effective people policy and HR practice.Key Responsibilities
- Provide a highly effective business partner service to the business unit, engaging people and driving high performance and engagement.
- Drive the people strategy within the business area, consistent with the regional strategy and organisational objectives.
- Ensure that all processes are effective and, as much possible, deliver a single point of contact for all people matters.
- Provide expertise to empower line managers through the employee lifecycle, ensuring that recruitment, pay and reward, occupational health and learning strategy services are met according to defined Service Level Agreements.
- Build effective and trusted relationships across the business unit, Regional People Teams and with central/SME teams.
- Maintain and embed a people value proposition that enables the organisation to attract, develop and retain talent that meets capacity and capability requirements, so that the is an employer organisation of choice.
- Ensure that workforce plans are established and delivered so that your areas of responsibility are met.
- Work with the central team to identify and deliver policy and ways of working changes that drive the professionalism of the people function
- Effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders and ensure consistent people practice with the wider organisation.
Were seeking an experienced HR Business Partner who has a broad range of HR background and expertise with central teams.
- CIPD qualification (preferably Chartered Member), degree or equivalent qualification.
- Full range of HR and L&D activities highly desirable.
- Proven project and change management skills essential.
- Business-savvy with analysis skills to make and prioritise difficult decisions.
- An effective coach with strategic thinking and experience of assessing and managing risk.
- Demonstrable experience in winning support and stakeholder management
- Suitable for someone who Is a natural collaborator with the ability to build effective relationships and influence at the most senior levels.
- A skilled communicator who adapts style to meet customer needs and naturally adopts a win:win stance with high levels of emotional intelligence.
- Is curious and able to identify the root cause of problems, a proactive problem solver and a skilled listener.
- Has strong business acumen and commercial understanding.
- Enjoys balancing potentially conflicting priorities, identifies risks, knows when to flex the rules and can challenge constructively and credibly.
- Is able to work autonomously but within agreed parameters.
- Is resilient, decisive and driven to deliver.
Temporary contract working via Hays on weekly online time sheets
22.5 hours per week - 3 days - Ideally Weds to Friday
