Hays are looking to recruit a part-time Finance Director for a client based in Bath. The role can be offered either for 2 or 3 days per week.

Your new role

As the lead finance, you will report to the senior leadership team and take on all responsibility for the finance and administration of the business. You will evaluate strategic growth opportunities while managing the day-to-day running of the function. Key elements of the role include:

• Produce Management Accounts, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
• Prepare and oversee accounts for auditing.
• Supervise the purchase and sales ledger team to ensure the development of staff but also that processes and procedures are maintained.
• Prepare VAT returns, year-end accounts and corporation tax returns
• Proactively challenge internal controls to identify areas of weakness
• Drive the development of business reporting and provide insight and analysis.

What you'll need to succeed

Looking for an experienced finance professional that is fully qualified in ACCA, ACA or CIMA. You should be able to meet tight timetables and be commercially minded and keen to work for an SME based close to Bath.
