You will be working for a well known organisation based in Birmingham. The requirement will be to be based on-site 2-3 days a week. The rate is dependant on experience and is between £550-600 per day.Your new role

- Remediation of current system gaps and weaknesses in our existing Oracle Cloud solution
- Complete reimplementation of our Oracle platform, including integration with Civica's Income Management Solution
As the Oracle Cutover Manager, you will lead the end-to-end planning and execution of cutover activities, ensuring a seamless migration to the new Oracle and Civica platform with minimal business disruption. You will be the central point of coordination between project teams, IT, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors, driving alignment across all workstreams.
Partnering closely with the Service Transition Manager, you will:
- Design and implement a phased cutover approach to migrate systems to the future-state architecture
- Oversee all technical cutover activities, ensuring rigorous testing and risk mitigation
- Maintain operational continuity while managing dependencies across parallel workstreams
This role demands exceptional organizational leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex technical landscapes under tight timelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Define the end-to-end
cutover strategy, including governance, approach, and timelines for planning, rehearsals, and execution. - Align stakeholders on requirements, resources, and dependencies to ensure seamless transition.
- Collaborate with the organisation's leadership, partners, and technical teams
to communicate cutover plans, risks, and expectations. - Partner with programme teams, technical vendors, and business units to synchronize business and technical cutover activities.
- Develop a detailed cutover checklist, integrating quality gateways and decision points into the programme plan.
- Oversee data migration validation, ensuring all migrations are tested and verified before Full-Dress Rehearsal (FDR).
- Plan and execute FDR to validate the cutover plan, document outcomes, and refine the final approach.
- Work with technical teams to define rollback procedures for contingency scenarios.
- Proactively identify cutover risks, implement mitigations, and escalate critical issues.
- Coordinate with the Business Change workstream to ensure timely communications throughout the transition.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned for future improvements.
- Ensure hypercare support is operational, facilitating smooth handover to BAU teams.
