This is the opportunity to join a well-respected accountancy firm in Glasgow city centre. The firm has experienced strong growth within their tax team in recent years and are now recruiting a Mixed Tax senior to assist in growing and managing their diverse client portfolio. Your new role

In your new role as Mixed Tax Senior, you will be responsible for managing and growing your own portfolio of clients alongside assisting in the training and development of more junior staff; the key duties of the role include:

  • Developing client relationships with regular contact by phone, email and in person

  • Preparation, review and submission of corporate tax, personal tax returns, trust & estate returns and forms P11D

  • Opportunity to gain experience in advisory work, including research for tax planning, IHT and CGT work and HMRC enquiries.

  • Supervision and mentoring of junior staff ensuring their professional development

  • Managing queries from HMRC.

  • Preparation of technical research notes for managers and partners.


What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be an experienced tax professional having previously held a similar role. You will possess a strong knowledge of tax legislation and ideally have experience managing your own portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will hold a professional qualification such as ATT and also be comfortable overseeing the work of more junior staff and assisting in their development.
