Your new role
- Manage sales and purchase invoices, ensuring all bills and invoices are paid, up to date and reconciled.
- Manage bank accounts, ensuring sufficient liquidity, monitoring cash flow and produce cash flow forecasts.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Maintenance and daily update of the Master Order Document which tracks all current projects.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Post monthly journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation and all sundry journals necessary to prepare the monthly Management Accounts.
- Ensure the business meets all of its statutory and compliance obligations.
- Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices by identifying and implementing systems, policies and processes to improve financial monitoring and analysis.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities that exist for the business.
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
- Develop relationships with external contacts such as our accountants/auditors and HMRC.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in an SME environment.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and communication skills.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable management.
