Your new role

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics and KPIs.
• Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Liaise with auditors and assist with year-end processes.
• Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes.
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial alignment across departments.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME or mid-sized business.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or SAP).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
