Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and extremely successful group to recruit a dynamic, ambitious, and driven Management Accountant based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. A permanent accounting role supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Director in providing accurate and timely financial information to all stakeholders for decision-making purposes and assisting with the smooth running of the accounting team. Your new role

Your key duties will involve preparation of monthly management accounts, preparing weekly/monthly reports to group, assisting with preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts, and production of reports to support monthly forecasting. You will perform month-end reconciliations, accounting analysis, preparation/input of journals, prepayments, and accruals, along with production of overhead budgets. You will monitor daily bank movements including actuals and three-month forecast reporting, post sales statements and related journals, along with support business partnering activities with both senior finance and non-financial management. You will support the Finance Manager and Financial Director with ad-hoc projects including process improvement, challenge processes and be involved in implementing new procedures. Your duties will grow/develop as you progress within the business.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this progressive Management Accountant role, you will need experience in a similar position, ideally part-qualified studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA with strong communication skills to build relationships at all levels and business partnering skills. You will be able to produce accurate information to time-constrained deadlines, be used to managing workloads, and have the desire to implement/improve new processes. You will want to develop/progress and enjoy a challenging, fast-paced role, you will need to have strong MS Excel skills and be trained in a range of financial systems. You will have strong attention to detail, a proactive and analytical working approach, along with being able to work within a team environment but also using your own initiative.
