Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M&E Clerk of Works to oversee the mechanical and electrical aspects of a prestigious residential estate project in Andover. The successful candidate will ensure that all M&E works are carried out to the highest standards, in compliance with the project specifications, and within the agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance:
Monitor and inspect all M&E works to ensure they meet the required standards and specifications. - Compliance:
Ensure all works comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards. - Coordination:
Liaise with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. - Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of inspections, progress reports, and any issues or deviations from the project plan. - Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve any issues or defects in the M&E works promptly. - Reporting:
Provide regular updates to the project manager and other key stakeholders on the progress and quality of the M&E works.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably on high-end residential projects. - Skills:
Strong knowledge of M&E systems, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills. - Certifications:
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIBSE, IET) are highly desirable.
