Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Salary: £95 - £115 per day, dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary with the potential to become permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a dedicated secondary SEN school in Oldham, specialising in providing education and support to students with behavioural needs. The school's mission is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those with behavioural challenges. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver tailored educational programs and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities that meet the individual needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural difficulties.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support students in developing positive behaviours.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support students in developing social skills and emotional resilience.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a PRU or behavioural specialist school setting.
  • Proven track record of supporting students with special educational needs, particularly behavioural challenges.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
