Their environmental team operates across acoustics, contaminated land, ecology, GIS, landscape design and planning. You’ll be joining a passionate team of ecologists who support on a range of projects from major highways, planning, educational buildings, residential and more!
Your new role
My client are looking for an experienced Ecologist to join the environmental management & design team based at their West Bridgford Office (Nottingham).
You will help to lead the ecology team in the delivery of environmental services and collaborative projects.

Main duties will include:
- Provide expert ecological advice to colleagues, clients and external parties
- Business development to grow the ecology market
- Lead, coach, and develop more junior ecologists
- Lead on ecological surveys (Protected species, habitats and more)
- Write detailed ecological reports
- Ensure successful delivery of ecology consultancy projects
- Client liaising to ensure that financial targets and stakeholder requirements are met
What you'll need to succeed
- A Degree in an Environment, Ecology or related field
- Ecology experience with relevant UK legislation in a Consultancy
- Ability to lead and support a team
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- A driving license
- Membership in CIEEM (ideal)
- Holder of one or more protected species licenses (ideal)
- GIS or other relevant software knowledge (ideal)
