KS1 Teaching Job in Barnsley, upto £200 per day, long term supply

Your new school

Hays are proud to be working with schools across South Yorkshire to fill supply jobs within primary schools. These jobs can vary depending on the assignment, either day-to-day or long term. Many of our jobs are part-time and can also supplement your current role if you are a part-time teacher looking to top up your salary.

Your new role:

The job roles we have vary dependent on the needs of each school, and can be on a full-time or part-time basis. At Hays, we pay to scale for our long-term placements, so you can earn up to £199 per day. Supply teaching suits those who have a passion for teaching and can be flexible and adaptable, due to the diversity of the schools we work with. We are currently looking for teachers and ECTs who specialise in teaching at Key Stage 1. You need to be comfortable planning, marking and assessing National Curriculum schemes of work as dependent on the length of the role, this may be a requirement.

The successful candidate will be required to pick up a teacher’s day-to-day classroom responsibilities and required to cover KS1 classes. These classes will be expecting a consistent approach even though you will be providing supply cover for the day. If you like the challenge of working in multiple primary schools in Barnsley, with the potential for a different school each day, then this is the role for you!

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience working with primary aged children for at least 20 days in the last 2 years
  • Experience teaching in a Primary School, even better if you have been in KS1
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a UK QTS & a PGCE
  • Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum

What you'll get in return:

  • Competitive daily wage, based on your experience and the responsibilities of each assignment.
  • Holiday pay with the option to take it at any point of the year.
  • Online tools where you can manage your availability and receive access to exclusive jobs that Hays Education is recruiting for.
  • Access to free Professional Development Training.
  • Work with your own personal primary teaching consultant who specialises in and around the South Yorkshire and Derbyshire region.

In addition to these benefits, if you know of other education professionals looking for supply, long-term, or permanent work, you can also receive £250 worth of vouchers every time you recommend a colleague to Hays Education!
