Kafka Data Engineer / Architect – GCP PubSub / Cloud
Up to £900 per day (Inside IR35)
London / Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)

My client is an international consultancy who urgently require a Kafa Data Engineer / Architect to play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, real-time data processing systems in Kafka in addition to architecting Kafka cluster, ensuring high availability, and integrating with other data processing platforms and tools.

Key Requirements:

• Kafka Data Engineering / Architecture expertise (Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, Kafka data pipelines and messaging solutions )

• Demonstrable experience in real-time architecture including event driven frameworks

• Strong Knowledge of Spark Streaming, Schema Registry, Flink and Beam

• Proficiency in Cloud platforms such as GCP Pub/Sub

• Ability to monitor Kafka performance, to enhance decision making and operational efficiency

• Capability to maintain an architectural library for Kafka deployment models and patterns

• Excellent problem-solving skills
  
  

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with tools such as JDBC, MongoDB and / or S3 connectors

• Good understanding of NoSQL data stores and Cloud Storage

• Previous Financial Services industry experience
